About the Symposium The first ASTM-Euratom Symposium on Reactor Dosimetry took place in 1975 at the Joint Research Centre, Petten, The Netherlands. This Symposium generally defined the status of reactor neutron metrology and damage analysis programs, and identified the dosimetry needs of the nuclear power industry. Subsequent Symposia further emphasised nuclear data and techniques for characterization of neutron and gamma-ray environments, benchmark fields, damage correlations, pressure vessel surveillance, and radiation effects on materials and electronics. The Ninth Symposiun, renamed the International Symposium on Reactor Dosimetry, reflected a growing involvement from former Soviet Union republics, as well as increased participation from Japanese experts on reactor surveillance dosimetry and research reactor programs. Nearly twenty countries are expected to be represented at the Fifteenth International Symposium on Reactor Dosimetry to be held in Aix en Provence, France in May, 2014. Past Symposia:
